Digital Controls Announces the Creation of a new division, the Managed Print Group, to deliver cost savings Managed Print Services Solutions
Managed Print Services solution lets you transfer the risk associated with managing your output and print infrastructure to Digital Controls!
DAYTON, OHIO, December 12, 2008- Digital Controls Corporation (DCC) is pleased to announce today the creation of a new division, the Managed Print Group™. In conjunction with this announcement, DCC is announcing the hiring of Kent Landry as Senior VP and General Manager of the Managed Print Group. Kent joins Digital Controls after more than twenty (20) years in the Information and IT Services industry. Mr. Landry’s most recent position was Director, Managed Print Services for Dell.
The Managed Print Group flagship service is called Managed Print Services (MPS). MPS delivers optimized device count, reduces help desk workload with our output management tools, manages consumables and provides proactive and SLA driven monitoring of output devices resulting in improved end user experience and typically a 10 to 40% cost improvement. In addition to significant cost savings MPS also releases resources that are managing your Output and Print Queue environments to focus on more strategic functions!
According to Mike Denny, CEO of Digital Controls Corporation, “Significant savings opportunities exist for organizations that manage print effectively; it still remains a large, hidden and poorly managed cost. For these reasons, we have formed this new division to provide Managed Print Services solutions to our customers to lower costs and improve operations.”
According to Kent Landry, Sr VP and GM of the Managed Print Group, “Output costs are the last ‘un-audited’ costs in the enterprise today. Our solutions will take control of those often hidden, runaway costs and remove the burden of managing both the print devices and related IT infrastructure from the CIO’s desk.” Mr. Landry states that “unique to the Managed Print Group is our comprehensive solution…..encompassing the device platform, print server infrastructure, print job management and an industry first focus on pages….as a page reduction strategy is a customer aligned approach few other companies have incentive to implement”…due to risk of diverting consumables revenue.
About the MPS solution
MPS is based on an “output strategy” that provides vision, control and accountability regarding output and IT print infrastructure across your entire organization. It is an assessment driven and rules based service and Digital Controls utilizes best practices derived from our over 40 years in the technology services business. The ultimate service offering is one that knows what is needed and acts even before the end user may experience an outage or interruption. Managed Print Group’s MPS approach seeks to achieve high service levels through proactive device management while simultaneously driving out cost inefficiencies. Further, the Managed Print Group recognizes an output fleet represents a significant customer financial investment and we are committed to responsible stewardship of these resources. The MPG consultative assessment process identifies instances where legacy equipment too new or application specific to warrant replacement under Managed Print Group’s optimization methodology furthering Customer’s cost optimization. Managed Print Group’s “best in class” approach to providing output technology hardware gives Customer the flexibility to retain legacy devices while incorporating them into Managed Print Group’s managed service.
MPS focuses heavily on engineering cost out of your output environment. These cost reductions include direct hard costs, indirect soft costs, and procedural costs all while maintaining data transparency and supply chain virtualization.
MPS is SLA driven and features proactive and predictive management of output device and print server/queue alerts. The Digital Controls MPS solution is differentiated by world class delivery of people, process and tools. Our solution fosters a culture of continuous improvement, delivers accountability to your organization by our team who pride themselves on being the most flexible partner your IT team works with.
MPS lets you transfer the risk associated with managing your output and print infrastructure to Digital Controls!
